Last week saw the launch of 3PR, a friendly robot encouraging better parking discipline around schools.

The scheme is designed to encourage drivers to park with Care, Consideration and Caution within the 3PR zone – the area near the school’s entrance and exit.

Take care not to block the zebra crossing or let children jump out of cars and run across without checking it’s safe.

Think about the school’s neighbours when parking and don’t block their drives.

Drive slowly and sensibly near school. Parking in the 3PR zones forces other road users to overtake which could cause further hazards, especially in icy conditions.

In turn, parents and teachers are encouraging children to walk sensibly and cross the road safely. Every child that walks to school in the 3PR zone receives a token for their class. The winning class each week is awarded the 3PR trophy.
