Year 6 Production: ‘Mary Poppins’

Well done to our year 6 classes who performed the first of their two performances tonight, following a dress rehearsal to the rest of the school earlier in the day.

Take a look at the Year 6 page to watch the performance.

Winds are changing
Time is turning
A black shadow fills the sky
Why this happens
People do not know why
But Mary Poppins comes
Flying gracefully
Bringing smiles
Wondering which child to look after
While chimney sweeps dance on roofs
Cheering and dancing  in their boots
Mary makes magic happen in the most unusual way
What will happen next?
Nobody knows
With Mary anything can happen
Just wait and see

A lovely, but extremely cold, afternoon at the beach.

The excrutiating trip to the shop – children were told that they could not spend their money on fizzy drinks, sweets or chocolate but should buy mementos…..

“Why have you bought Polos?”
“Mrs Ramet said we could buy mints.”
“No, you were told you could not buy sweets.”
“But they’re mints and Mrs Ramet said we could buy Mentos.”

So a lesson followed about souvenirs and mementos!!

We enjoyed a campfire with hot chocolate and marshmallows to end the final night at Overstrand Hall.

Year 6 Business and Enterprise Afternoon

Year 6 welcomed Mr Farrugia from Beauchamps High School to talk about what life is like at the school and what to expect at the start of Year 7. During the afternoon, children took part in different activities based around business and enterprise. We had a winning team who will visit Beauchamps later in the year to take part in more activities with some of their students.
