Congratulations to our indoor athletics squad who competed at Bromfords yesterday. They finished 4th overall and were a credit to our school with their good behaviour and sportsmanship. A few children finished in the top 3 of their events: George (long jump), Owen (long jump), Ben (chest push), Harry & Aiden (paarlauf relay). Well done!
This week pupils are taking part in activities to support National Anti-Bullying Week with the main focus being tolerance and respect. Throughout the week each class will work collaboratively to create a piece of work which represents this and will share it to the rest of the school during our Celebration Assembly.
In addition our class Anti-Bullying Ambassadors are encouraging kindness and positivity by organising their own lessons and activities including rewarding children with kindness stickers.
The Royal British legion adopted the poppy as their emblem to remember the people who have given their lives in war. They were the only flowers growing in the battlefield after WW1.
We have sponsored a new elephant pump to supply desperately needed clean, drinking water to children in Africa with the help of The Africa Trust. By renting our water cooler, some of the money is donated to The Africa Trust and we will soon have a photo of the pump we have sponsored.
